a man is dead after being hit by a train in pittsylvania county. it happened on northside drive after nine this morning. gretna police say 70 year old walter davis was crossing the train tracks when he was hit by a norfolk southern train. the incident remains under investigation. talk about a good samaritan. a virginia man saves a life following a car crash in henrico county. 65 year old meredith conyers senior says he was on his to work around four this morning when he noticed a car engulfed in smoke. conyers says his first instinct was to get out and see if anyone was in the car ... and was surprised a man was inside screaming for help. meredith conyers sr. / pulled man from burning car - "i pulled him through the driver side window and got him out that way. then i pulled him maybe ten feet from the car. by that time the car was engulfed in flames." crews extinguished the blaze and transported the
